Mel B, Russell Tovey, Rose Leslie, and Other Celebrities Join Forces to Back Fabio D’Andrea’s Daring Music Videos, Earning Tremendous Support from Film and Music Industries

An innovative concept has launched today at Brunswick Art Gallery, a contemporary art gallery in central London. The gallery is exhibiting films and piano tracks by Fabio D’Andrea in a groundbreaking showcase of a visual album.

Fabio D’Andrea is a 21st-century composer who has written a collection of 24 piano pieces titled “24,” with each piece representing a major or minor chromatic key in the musical scale. What sets this collection apart is that each piano piece is accompanied by its own music video, making it the world’s first classical video album. The music videos touch on significant issues of our time, including domestic abuse (Mel B), disability (Rose Leslie), and mental health (Russell Tovey), portraying powerful messages around the theme of ‘masks.’

Fabio expresses his excitement about the exhibition at Brunswick Art Gallery, stating, “I am absolutely thrilled that Brunswick Art Gallery is showcasing ’24’ in this unique way. It’s a progressive approach that combines art and music in an unexpected manner. I am excited to share the ‘big screen’ effect of my work with gallery visitors. I am passionate about reaching younger audiences and demonstrating that classical music can be enjoyed in various ways.”

Each music video features renowned actors and dancers who share a passion for contemporary music and the arts, showcasing their exceptional acting abilities through dance. The videos cover a wide range of genres and feature dancers from prestigious companies such as The Royal Ballet, Rambert Dance Company, and The London Contemporary Dance School, along with leading commercial street-dance companies. The choreography is handled by some of the top choreographers in the UK.

One of the first videos from the series, titled ‘The Sleeping Beauty’ and directed by Fabio, has garnered acclaim at numerous film festivals and has won over 20 international awards, including ‘Best Music Video’ at the esteemed LA Short Fest. ‘Love Should Not Hurt,’ featuring Spice Girl Mel B, received unprecedented global media coverage. Other well-known actors who have participated in Fabio’s videos include Natalie Dormer and Ellie Bamber.

Overall, ’24’ is a visually stunning collection of videos accompanied by beautiful original piano music. Fabio aims to inspire younger generations and cultivate a newfound appreciation for contemporary dance and music. The videos depict a range of narratives, including social issues, cultural history, and visual celebrations of the natural world, making contemporary classical music accessible to a diverse global audience.

The Brunswick Art Gallery is located at Brunswick Square, WC1N 1AE, and is open from 11am to 5:30pm (4:00pm on weekends).
