Six more people have been fined for waste offences on the streets of Bury this month.
Fixed penalty notices of £400 were served on two of them: for fly-tipping in Brierley Street, Bury, and for a household duty of care offence which led to waste being dumped at Mode Hill in Whitefield (pictured).
Four people were fined £75 for littering in Walmersley Road, Bury; Ash Street, Bury; Oram Street, Bury; and Noreen Avenue, Prestwich.
More than 200 fines have been issued for littering and fly-tipping across Bury in the last three years, and more than 20 people have been prosecuted in court.
Councillor Alan Quinn said: “These people know what they’re doing, and they don’t care if they spoil our neighbourhoods for the residents who live there. We will continue to take action against those who dump their rubbish in our borough.”
