Police are asking witnesses to a road traffic collision in Bury last night, to come forward.
Emergency services attended a collision between a Peugeot 108 car and a pedestrian in her thirties, on Manchester Road.
The pedestrian sustained serious life-threatening injuries and she remains in hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Peugeot – a woman in her 50s – stopped at the scene and was later arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by driving without due care and attention and remains in custody.
Greater Manchester Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
Officers are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam, mobile phone or doorbell footage, from the area in the moments leading up to the collision.
