Lauren Price became Wales’ first female world champion boxer after overcoming Jessica McCaskill in Cardiff on Saturday night.
A dominant display in front of a roaring home crowd at the Ultilita Arena saw Price claim the victory via a unanimous points decision after an accidental head clash in the ninth round meant McCaskill was unable to continue.
Price, a one-time taxi driver who claimed Olympic Gold at Japan 2020, is now unified IBO, WBA and Ring Magazine welterweight world champion.
