INTO University Partnerships, an esteemed global education partnership firm, has unveiled its latest initiative, the ‘Get Ready to Study’ programme. This initiative is targeted at providing comprehensive pre-arrival support to international students bound for the UK.
The ‘Get Ready to Study’ programme is an online learning course that aims to equip international students with essential academic and personal tools. This preparation helps ensure a seamless transition into higher education and acclimatises them to life and academics in the UK.
David Rafferty, Director of Technology Enhanced Learning at INTO University Partnerships, said: “Studying abroad can evoke a range of emotions for students—excitement, anticipation, and perhaps a hint of nervousness. That’s why we’ve developed the Get Ready to Study online pre-arrival programme. It’s our commitment to empowering students to embark on their UK academic journey with confidence, equipped with the knowledge and resources they need to thrive.”
The programme is offered at no cost and is available to all students travelling to the UK who are enrolled in a pathway programme at an INTO Centre. These centres are designed to develop essential academic and English language skills necessary for their future educational journeys.
Students automatically receive enrolment in the ‘Get Ready to Study’ programme and are sent a link to access it one month prior to the start of their course. The content is personalised, providing insights into their specific Centre, and includes a variety of engaging activities and guidance aimed at strengthening academic and digital literacy. The programme is divided into three essential modules:
Life in the UK
This first module covers key information about what to expect from the study abroad experience, including adapting to UK culture, local attractions, and optimising their time at the centre. It also provides details on the INTO centre facilities and what to expect during the induction.
Study Skills
The second module introduces critical study and digital literacy skills that are vital during their time at INTO, at their chosen university, and in their careers. It covers establishing an effective study environment, strategies for handling assessments, and balancing work and personal time.
Employability
The concluding module explains how students can utilise the tools, resources, and support available at their centre to improve their career prospects and professional development, including securing placements and job opportunities.
