Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has been called into the England squad for the forthcoming friendly double-header against Brazil and Belgium.
The 18-year-old was originally named in the Under-21 party but has been promoted to the senior group for the first time to maintain his remarkable trajectory this season.

Mainoo, who has represented England at Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 level, made his United debut in January 2023 against Charlton Athletic in the EFL Cup with his Premier League bow coming a month later when he came off the bench against Leicester City.
Injury prevented him from kicking on at the start of this season with the Stockport-born teenager having to wait until the game at Everton in November for his first Premier League start.
A wonderful performance as United won 3-0 at Goodison Park showcased his talent and he has been a consistent performer for boss Erik ten Hag ever since.
He has also chipped in with a couple of goals, one in the FA Cup win at Newport County and a memorable last-gasp winner at Wolves last month.
