Real Madrid have been unsuccessful in their appeal against a two-match ban issued to Jude Bellingham, following his red card after the final whistle against Valencia last week.
Bellingham was denied a dramatic winner at the end of Madrid’s feisty 2-2 draw with Valencia in LaLiga last Saturday, with referee Gil Manzano blowing the final whistle just before the midfielder headed Brahim Diaz’s cross home.
Madrid’s furious players then surrounded the official, who showed a red card to Bellingham for his protests.
In his report, Manzano wrote: “After the end of the game and while still on the pitch, he [Bellingham] came running over to me in an aggressive way shouting, repeatedly: ‘It’s a f*****g goal’.”

Bellingham was subsequently banned for two games by the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), with the former Borussia Dortmund man calling that punishment “ridiculous”.
Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, meanwhile, described the red card as a “mistake” as Los Blancos signalled their intention to appeal against Bellingham’s suspension, but they have been unsuccessful in doing so.
On Friday, it was confirmed that the RFEF’s competition committee had upheld Bellingham’s ban, meaning he will miss Madrid’s last two league fixtures before the international break, against Celta Vigo and Osasuna.
Reports have since suggested Madrid will take the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, despite knowing a decision will not be made before the second game of Bellingham’s ban has been served.
He will next be available for Madrid – who hold a seven-point lead over Girona at the top of LaLiga – when they face Athletic Bilbao on March 31.
