Police appeal following aggravated burglary in Hyde

Police are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in Hyde.

The victim was at a property on Osbourne Road at 5.50pm on Friday, December22, when a man knocked on the door and shouted ‘Amazon’.

Believing him to be delivering a parcel, the victim opened the door.

The suspect forced his way inside, pulled out a pen knife and demanded that the victim hand over her jewellery.

The suspect stole an engagement ring (pictured) and a watch before making off in an unknown direction.

Police are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward and support their investigation.

If anyone has dashcam, ring doorbell or CCTV footage of the road, they can contract police on 0161 856 0120, quoting the log 2735 of 22/12/23.
