Oldham woman hailed at Creme de la Creme Business Awards

Oldham business woman Pam Shanker has been highly commended at the Creme de la Creme Business Awards.
She received the honour for Best Business Start-Up 2023 (2 years) at the event organised by the Cheshire Club, in Cranage Hall in Cheshire, last Friday.
Pam had a civil service and property investment background and decided in June 2022 to become a coach after qualifying in October 2022.

Empowering people

In September 2022, Pam founded The Universe Cafe in Manchester to empower people to be, do and have whatever they want regardless of age, gender or background.
She runs a monthly pop up café in Rochdale and bi-annually weekend retreats. The café is an opportunity for like-minded people to come together to celebrate each other and themselves and to dream big.
The Universe Café is partnered with 2 charities: St Philips Chapel St who fundraise to support vulnerable women on the streets of Manchester and Centrepoint who fundraises to help end youth homelessness.
Pam, who is also a motivational speaker, said: “Winning the Highly Commended Award was fantastic. To be recognised as a Transformational Coach and Motivational Speaker in such a short space of time is really wonderful.
“Following a long career in the civil service and property, I am following my dream and that is to empower people to follow their dreams.”
