The Juice Academy Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary With New Apprenticeship Partners

To mark its tenth anniversary, Manchester-based digital marketing not-for-profit apprenticeship provider, The Juice Academy, has recently introduced new partner organisations into its portfolio, helping to get even more people into work by increasing the number of available apprenticeships.

The Juice Academy was created in 2013 by marketing consultancy, Tangerine Communications and has created more than 600 roles in some of the UK’s leading firms in that time. The unique proposition of The Academy is that all training is delivered by practising industry experts, alongside RoATP-approved partner, Apprentify, meaning apprentices have access to the best advisors and coaches and are always up to date with their skills.

The first two new partners were announced at an event last night celebrating the Academy’s ten-year anniversary – with the metro mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham as keynote. They are Smoking Gun, which will offer the Public Relations apprenticeship, and Jane Montague Consultancy which will provide the Charity Fundraiser apprenticeship.

Smoking Gun is trusted by major brands to help solve business challenges, be that perception or behaviour changes, or targeted awareness and understanding. The PR firm works with a mixture of market leading brands and challenger brands plus public sector organisations. It will deliver the PR & Comms Level 4 Standard, incorporating reputation management, current affairs in the PR industry, the media and marketing, PR campaigns, digital PR and communication strategies, producing and distributing content.

Rick Guttridge, MD of Smoking Gun said: “The Juice Academy has a long and successful track record of delivering apprenticeships and supporting employment in the UK and we have been proud to take a few excellent apprentices over the years from them, so we couldn’t be more excited to be part of their even prouder future!’

With decades of experience supporting the charity sector, Jane Montague Consultancy works with charities of all shapes and sizes across the UK and Channel Islands and has a unique insight into the trends and challenges they face. The company dissects and discusses sometimes humdrum topics in lively, engaging sessions, making sure the subjects stick, which is why it is perfectly suited to supporting apprentices. The consultancy will deliver the Charity Fundraiser Level 3 Standard, including raising financial funds and non-financial support, building and maintaining high quality donor relationships, the development and execution of fundraising plans and activities, producing high quality communication content and monitoring and evaluating.

Jane Montague added: “The charity sector is facing unprecedented challenges in the current climate. It is important that we continue to encourage new fundraisers into the Third Sector and provide invaluable skills that will future-proof fundraising in a digital world. I have watched the growth of The Juice Academy and I am certain this will be a superb way to help make a much-needed change in our sector.”

‘I could not be more proud of what we’ve achieved over the last ten years,’ said Founder and Chair of The Juice Academy, Sandy Lindsay MBE. ‘We have helped hundreds of people learn new skills and find employment with major brands. By adding more partners and providing access to new skills the future couldn’t be brighter for The Academy and the employers and apprentices we support.’
