Work underway on new £9m Audi dealership Bolton

Work on building a new Audi dealership on the site of the former Bolton Community College is well underway.

The state of the art showroom will be located off Manchester Road, a key gateway into the town.

Jardine Motors Group will operate the new Audi centre, which will feature a 9,000sq ft showroom, a 21-bay workshop for servicing and will also have parking space for more than 100 new and used cars.

The deal was secured via the partnership between Bolton Council and Public Sector Plc.

The centre is expected to open to customers in summer and the existing Mill Street dealership will relocated to the new facility.

Deputy Leader of Bolton Council, Cllr Ebrahim Adia, said: “This major private investment from Jardine Motors Group will give a completely new look to this part of town.

“It shows confidence in our town and supports the transformation of a key gateway into the town centre. The dealership will be next to ‘Trinity Quarter’ a key development area in our £1bn masterplan. We are also making good progress to bring forward redevelopment proposals which will further transform the area.”

Jardine Motors Group operates more than 70 franchises nationwide, representing more than 20 brands and will operate the Bolton site under its Lancaster dealership brand.

Group Property Director of Jardine Motors Group, Steve Pettyfer, added: “Our new facility in Bolton will strengthen our existing Audi brand in Oldham, Manchester, Warrington and Liverpool.

“We are delighted to be working with contractor Hantall Developments Ltd based in Hyde to create an exceptional retail and after-sales centre. Work is progressing well on site with the steel frame in place and roofing work in progress.”

Regional Director of Public Sector Plc, Paul Brown, said: “We are delighted to see construction is underway on the new Audi centre.

“We’ve been working with Bolton Council for a number of years now to help secure the future of this significant site, with an operator that will deliver investment and support to the local economy for the long term.”
