HURST football tournament raises £1,800 for MedEquip4Kids

A football tournament organised by accounting and business advisory firm HURST raised £1,800 for charity.

Sixteen teams took part in HURST’s eighth annual five-a-side contest, which was staged at the Powerleague Trafford Sportsdome.

Equilibrium Asset Management, based in Wilmslow, beat a team from Maven Capital Partners in the final.

Among those taking part in the tournament were teams of solicitors, bankers, financial services and insurance professionals, recruiters and software testing specialists.

The proceeds will go to MedEquip4Kids, which is HURST’s charity of the year. MedEquip4Kids raises money to provide paediatric medical equipment and facilities for hospitals and community health teams that are not funded by the NHS.

HURST’s marketing executive Lucy McCormick, said: “Our charity five-a-side tournament is always a fun afternoon and a great way to raise money for our chosen charity of the year.”
